Position Summary
Duties and responsibilities will include:
Delivering a high level of customer service
Providing general and specific information to current and prospective facility users
pertaining to memberships, programs, scheduling etc.
Performing thorough cleaning of equipment and rooms
Issuing and receiving sports/fitness equipment
Providing assistance with general office duties
Cleaning and maintenance of hardwood court
Providing assistance to Wellness Centre staff as required
Responding to emergency situations as required
Available to work evenings and weekends
Working in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act

Partial Secondary School Completion
Specific course(s), certification, qualification, formal training or accreditation required for the position
Additional Requirements
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to handle several tasks at a time
Ability to lift heavy weights; set up and take down heavy equipment and preform light cleaning.
Strong conflict resolution, problem-solving and communication skills
Current CPR and First Aid (or acquired within 30 days)
Knowledge of fitness and Wellness Centre equipment is an asset.
Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
Field(s) of Study
Must be a full-time post-secondary student at Confederation College in the 2025-2026 academic year (minimum – attending entire winter 2026 semester). Full-time is defined as having a minimum 60% course load, or 40% if you have a permanent disability.
Must be returning to Confederation College as a full-time post-secondary student in September 2026
Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident protected person, or an international student who is legally eligible to work in Canada.
If domestic, must be approved for OSAP , or complete the needs score spreadsheet to demonstrate a financial need
