Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Family Lawyer to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law, including divorce, child custody, and adoption cases. An experience of at leat one to 2 years experience in Family law is preffered. This role requires exceptional legal drafting skills, the ability to conduct thorough research, and the capacity to negotiate effectively on behalf of clients. As a Family Lawyer, you will play a crucial role in guiding clients through emotionally challenging situations while providing expert legal advice and representation. Responsibilities
- Represent clients in family law matters such as divorce, child custody, spousal support, and adoption.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case strategies and prepare for court proceedings.
- Draft legal documents including petitions, motions, and settlement agreements with precision and clarity.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to resolve disputes amicably when possible.
- Maintain accurate records of case files and ensure compliance with all legal procedures.
- Communicate effectively with clients to keep them informed about their cases and provide guidance throughout the legal process.
- Utilize legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis to gather relevant case law and statutes.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Proven experience in family law or related areas of practice is preferred.
- Strong skills in legal drafting, research, negotiation, and writing.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to empathize with clients during sensitive situations.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in using legal research databases such as Lexis-Nexis is desirable.
