Under minimal supervision, the Administrative Support III performs secretarial, receptionist/triage, and administrative support duties involving a high degree of self-initiative, flexibility, decision-making skills, and ability to prioritize activities to meet the diverse needs of the Calgary Opioid Dependency Program (ODP). The work performed is varied, requiring: privacy, specialized knowledge, an ability to make ongoing adjustments within a complex environment, an ability to meet deadlines, and establishment of protocols and procedures for support services to meet the diverse needs of the Calgary ODP. Answers the phone, directs calls, obtains and relays messages, refers calls to appropriate services and agencies. Booking appointments and chart management a primary responsibility of this role. Provides initial assistance/triage to individuals seeking addiction and mental health services, referring them to the central intake or Urgent Services. Provides reception and manages waiting area for all clients. Works with admitting to ensure accuracy in Clinibase and other applicable systems. Obtains necessary documentation from Netcare to provide to medical staff.
