We are currently looking for a Public Relations & Product Planning Coordinator (12 month Contract) at our Corporate Offices in Ajax, ON

As an analytical, detail orientated and customer focused Public Relations & Product Planning Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the PR fleet and organizing the booking schedules across Canada for press usage, in addition completing competitive research and fleet coordination for vehicles across Canada. You are someone that likes variety in his or her role and not being confined to your desk everyday.

Reporting to the Manager, Public Relations & Director, Product Planning, you will be the point of contact for press and will ensure positive brand image of Volkswagen Group Canada. Primary Responsibilities:
Maintaining a clean and prepped vehicle fleet (including but not limited to - fueling, washing, servicing and organizing vehicles, scheduling maintenance, repairs and detailing) which will be used by members of the press.
Be able to communicate effectively with internal departments, external press members, various sub-contractors and dealers to ensure business operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Ensure members of the press receive correct specifications and information regarding vehicles in the PR fleet by maintaining the PR Media website with the most up-to-date vehicle specifications, pricing and imagery.
Organize and assist with events including; but not limited, to various conferences and the Georgian College Auto show and supplying vehicles.
Maintain corporate vehicle request with V-TRACS (Vehicle Tracking Requests Approval and Confirmation System).
Complete competitive research including competitive landscape and outlook (e.g car-net survey, general product survey) for Product Planning Managers
Accurate completion and review of the following Model Year Changeover data reports:
Order Guide for Dealers and 3rd Party consultants
Dealer Product Information Package
Model Year Changeover Document
Dealer Margin Report
Segmentation Report
Any adhoc reporting and support as required by the team.
Qualifications

What we’re asking for:
Post –secondary diploma or degree in Public Relations, Marketing or Business Administration
Valid driving license
A great attitude and proven ability to be an effective business partner, team player, and collaborator
1-3 years of office experience, including data analysis and report creation
Proven success in being able to multi task and ability to meet deadlines
Partners at all levels of the organization, with ability to negotiate and influence to achieve results
Excellent communication and presentation skills; Fluency in French an asset
Proven track record in working under pressure
Strong computer skills including MS Suite (Excel and Power point)
