Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Experienced Montessori Teacher to inspire young learners in a vibrant, nurturing environment. In this role, you will create engaging, developmentally appropriate activities aligned with Montessori principles that foster independence, curiosity, and a love for learning. In this role, you will be working from Setember-June with an option of working in July and August at a reduced hourly rate if you wish to do so.
Duties
- Design and implement Montessori-based lesson plans that promote hands-on learning and child-centered exploration.
- Observe and assess individual student progress, tailoring activities to meet diverse developmental needs.
- Foster a respectful, inclusive classroom environment that encourages independence, responsibility, and social-emotional growth.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to support student development and address individual needs.
- Maintain organized classroom materials and ensure all educational resources are accessible and well-maintained.
- Incorporate bilingual instruction when applicable, utilizing English and French to enhance language development.
- Support children with special education needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing additional assistance as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood education settings, preferably within Montessori environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in teaching young learners using child-centered pedagogies aligned with Montessori principles.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs, applying inclusive teaching strategies.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Excellent organizational skills for managing classroom materials, lesson plans, and student records.
- Familiarity with computer operation and educational technology tools to enhance instruction and record keeping.
