Part-Time Personal Chef / Cook (Evenings)
Location: Whitby, ON
Hours: Part-Time, Monday to Friday (approx. 12–15 hours/week)
Compensation: $25–$30/hour (based on experience) + grocery budget provided
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, reliable, and trustworthy Personal Chef / Cook to prepare healthy, family-style dinners in a private residence in Whitby. You will primarily be cooking for two adults, with occasional additional family members visiting.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys cooking nutritious meals, meal planning, and working independently in a respectful, welcoming, and quiet family environment.
Schedule & Hours
- Monday to Friday, evening time frame (flexible start, e.g., 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM).
- Approximately 12–15 hours per week (includes meal planning, localized grocery shopping, cooking, and clean-up).
Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare balanced evening meals for 2 people (with occasional guests).
- Grocery shopping and ingredient sourcing (funds/credit card provided).
- Accommodate general dietary preferences and nutritional goals.
- Maintain a meticulously clean and organized kitchen during and after cooking.
- Proper food storage, labeling, and kitchen sanitation.
- Occasional batch meal prep for lunches or future meals.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience as a personal chef, private cook, or in a professional kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of healthy, whole-food meal preparation.
- Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and stick to a schedule.
- Clean driving record and reliable transportation (required for grocery shopping).
- Food Handler Certification.
- Must be able to provide a recent, clean Police Record Check / Clearance.
