· Salary: $75,000–$90,000 (depending on experience)

Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Senior Financial Analyst and Costing Lead, the Cost Analyst plays a key role in providing accurate, insightful financial analysis to support operational decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform detailed cost variance analysis by comparing actual versus expected project costs, identifying reasons for variances, and recommending corrective actions.
· Develop, maintain, and refine Excel-based cost models to support accurate forecasting, budgeting, and pricing decisions.
· Partner closely with manufacturing, product development, and estimating teams to understand production processes, cost drivers, and long-term cost implications of product changes.
· Prepare and present monthly operational reports, including variance commentary, budget updates, and margin analysis.
· Analyze and recommend adjustments to standard costs, labour and overhead rates, and financial models to ensure accuracy and alignment with actual performance.
· Participate in product and project review meetings, providing cost insights and financial impact analysis.
· Assist in forecasting, budgeting, and the preparation of quarterly updates and capital plans.
· Collaborate cross-functionally to improve transparency and understanding of cost structures across departments.
Qualifications & Experience
· Education: Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing cost analysis, cost accounting, or financial analysis.
· Strong understanding of standard costing, job costing, and variance analysis.
· Proficiency in Excel and data analysis.
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively.
· Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on approach and strong attention to detail.
