Hope Mission is a Christian non-profit social care agency that has been serving vulnerable people in Alberta since 1929. We are one of Alberta’s largest social service agencies and currently operate emergency shelters, addiction recovery programs, youth programs, community outreach services, housing programs, and health programs (delivered through our HopeHealth division) across Edmonton, Red Deer, Wetaskiwin, and beyond. Position Summary
The Recovery Program Coordinator oversees the day-to-day operation of Hope Mission’s Breakout Recovery Program (men) or Wellspring Recovery Program (women). This role provides leadership in team development, curriculum review, participant support, and program compliance, contributing to meaningful participant transformation and program graduations in alignment with Hope Mission’s vision.
Hope Mission’s Recovery Program is a holistic recovery community grounded in the Gospel, life-skills training, addiction recovery, and reintegration preparation.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Supervision
· Hire, train, supervise, support, and discipline case workers.
· Lead weekly team meetings and monthly supervision sessions; cover for the Program Manager in their absence.
Program Operations & Administration
· Review curriculum, policies, staffing, and program outcomes on an ongoing basis.
· Ensure compliance with program procedures and manage purchases up to $500.
· Handle grievances, approve leave requests, and manage timesheets.
· Coordinate with HR, Accounting, and Recovery staff for administrative support.
Accreditation, Compliance & Events
· Schedule staff trainings and manage emergency drills.
· Prepare meeting minutes, send stakeholder communications, and coordinate invitations.
· Plan and organize program-related events, including graduations.
· Compile and submit monthly statistics to Homeward Trust (funder).
· Maintain accreditation records and support documentation standards.
Clinical Oversight
· Oversee participant assessments, intake procedures, and treatment planning.
· Support client growth toward graduation goals aligned with the program vision.
Data Management & ETO Oversight
· Clean and validate program data in Efforts to Outcomes (ETO).
· Manage staff touchpoints, monitor data entry accuracy, and resolve discrepancies.
· Ensure data-driven decision-making and support program evaluation.
Collaboration & Reporting
· Work closely with other mission managers to encourage creative partnerships.
· Produce timely reports to promote accountability and inform decision-making.
Grievance Management & Mediation
· Investigate and resolve grievances in a timely, confidential, and impartial manner.
· Facilitate and lead mediation processes between staff or participants, guided by best practices.
· Report findings, recommend solutions, track recurring issues, and update policies as needed.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Social Work, Biblical Studies, or a related field is preferred.
· At least 5 years of experience in missions, managerial roles, or recovery programming.
Skills & Competencies
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Demonstrated leadership, project management, and conflict resolution abilities.
· First Aid certification required.

Other Requirements
· As a Christian organization, Hope Mission requires employees to sign the Hope Mission Statement of Faith.
· Must be legally entitled to work in Canada on a full-time basis.
· Able to provide a Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Search.
· A letter of reference from a ministry or church is an asset.
· Adherence to Hope Mission’s policies and procedures.
