Water Babies Mississauga is in search of a swim teacher! Don't worry if you are not a certified swim instructor, we will help guide you through the process if you have the right fit. We are looking for someone available to teach 8 hours a week, with access to a car.
We need a passionate person to become a fully qualified baby swimming teacher with our amazing team.
This rewarding role involves:
- Paid training period over July/August months before the transition to committed hours in Fall 2026
- Teaching 8-10 hours a week with our adorable students (ages 0 to 5 years)
- Teaching both babies and toddlers according to our highly specialized techniques with caregivers in the pool based on training provided
- Teaching on weekends (minimum 1-weekend shift)
- Being able to reliably drive to different pool locations in Mississauga for your shifts. Locations include Clarkson, Applewood, Dixie, Streetsville, Creditview.
Our ideal candidate:
- Loves babies/toddlers,
- Loves the water and believes passionately in what we do, and
- Has plenty of enthusiasm, reliability, and flexibility.
Teacher's Class Responsibilities:
- Plan all Classes ahead of time and be familiar with your plan
- Transport themselves and equipment to and from the class venue. Applicants with access to a car.
- Perform any opening duties if required at class venue
- Supervise the clients while in the pool area
- Take attendance and notes for each Class, and report to the office on the day of class.
- Perform any closing duties if required at class venue
Out of Pool Duties for Teacher’s Classes:
- Create lesson plans for toddler classes
- Maintain notes on swimmer's progress and development.
- Being reasonably available to answer questions and queries of Water Babies customers via email
- Attend a Teacher’s meal once a quarter to designate the Teacher’s Classes for the next term and to receive important updates and information

Job Type: Part-time with permanent, committed shifts
Part-time hours: 8 hour shift(s) per week
Hourly wage: $25 per hour (plus retention bonus) after training period has been completed
Qualifications:
- Aquatics: 1 year (preferred)
- Working with Children: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- NLS (preferred)
- Swim Instructor (preferred)
Pay: $25.00 per hour
