Our employer partner is currently looking for a hardworking and dependable General Helper to support daily operations.

Shifts: Day
Pay Rate: $18/hr + $19/hr
Job Summary: The General Helper supports daily operations within retail food service outlets by assisting with food preparation, stocking, cleaning, customer service, and maintaining food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with basic food preparation and assembly
- Serve customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Refill beverages, condiments, grab-and-go items, and supplies
- Maintain cleanliness of counters, dining areas, kitchen, and equipment
- Follow FIFO, portion control, and food safety procedures
- Support cash handling and POS operations when required
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Assist with receiving and stocking deliveries
- Monitor product freshness and report low inventory items
- Support opening and closing duties of the unit
- Follow company policies, health & safety, and sanitation standards
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisorsWorking Conditions
- Fast-paced retail food environment
- Standing for extended periods
- Exposure to hot equipment, cleaning chemicals, and kitchen environments
- May work across multiple branded outlets such as coffee shops, grab-and-go stations, or quick service restaurants
Qualifications
- Previous food service or retail experience is an asset
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Basic Food Safety Certification and Allergen Awareness Certification are required, or candidates must be willing to obtain them upon hiring
- Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays if required
