Reporting to the Landfill Supervisor, the Admin Support 2 serves as the first point of contact for customers depositing waste at the City of Lloydminster’s Landfill. This position is responsible to calculate payments, screen loads, answer phone calls, assisting other administrative duties, and ensure the overall safety of the customer and other employees through observation and adherence to safety procedures and regulations.
Duties

Greet customers, direct customers and other traffic to appropriate disposal sites.

Check vehicles in and out of the Landfill site and determine nature of material disposal.

Direct the flow of traffic in accordance with Landfill drop-off procedures.

Process and accept cash, debit and credit card payments for site disposal.

Complete daily reports and generate transaction tickets in Compuweigh.

Approach all encounters with customers in a service-oriented manner.

Deposit and balance cash sales into the safety deposit box.

Count cash from sales and prepare cash float for the next day.

Prepare cash summary from Point of Sale and deposits for Finance.
- Track residential loads and daily disposal for drop-offs.

Create and manage landfill accounts.

Enter and verify data including: curbside collections load entries and billings, safety documents in LMS and other regulatory requirements in SharePoint.

Complete minutes for staff and safety meetings and submits to Safety.
- Coordinate and schedule waste and bin pick up.
- Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and work effectively in a fast paced environment

Must have strong time management skills to balance changing priorities.

Is self-motivated with the ability to work independently, as well as with a team environment.

Provide administration support to the Environmental Services team including filing, scanning, email, and photocopying.

Receive phone calls, take messages and respond to inquires
- Enter data into internal systems

Document and collect meeting notes as required

Create and process purchase orders and pay invoices

Review written documentation to ensure accuracy levels

Monitor and order office supplies as needed.

Other scanning and filing as needed.

Keep accurate documentation such as timesheets, safety competence forms etc.

Reporting all issues and concerns with safety, facilities, vandalism, and supplies

Assisting and working with other staffs and contractors when required
