We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as an Advanced Medic for job sites. As a Medic, you will play a crucial role in providing medical care and support to patients in an industrial setting.
*Duties*
- Participate in daily Safety meetings
- Assist in patient care activities such as monitoring vital signs
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care
- Document patient information accurately and maintain medical records
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of patients and proper transport to the next level of care
*Skills*
- Proficiency in patient care techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Experience in medication administration
- Familiarity with industrial safety regulations and procedures
This job specifically involves being based in a work camp in Elkford, B.C.
You must be able to pass a health questionnaire, a physical test w/ 50lb weights, a respirator fit test, and a 13 panel Drug and Alcohol Analysis including THC.
The shifts are 10.5 hours with possibilities for mandatory Overtime should the need arise. It is 7 on 7 off. Accommodations and food are provided by camp with a crew bus travelling to and from site. Travel and cell phone is paid in conjunction with wages.
