Semple Gooder Roofing Corporation, a large roofing contractor, is hiring an AZ / DZ truck driver to start immediately. Short haul / local deliveries (within the Greater Toronto Area).
Position Requirements
· Valid AZ or DZ License
· Minimum of 5 Years of Experience
· AZ Driver must be able Operate manual transmission vehicles
· Clean driving abstract
· Ability to successfully pass a road test
- Physically capable of lifting and handling materials
· Strong Communication Skills
· Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Responsibilities
· Ensure all cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and company procedures
· Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections, and oversee all aspects of the vehicle, including equipment condition and the safe loading and unloading of materials
· Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time
· Maintain up-to-date driver logs
· Observe and comply with all Ministry of Transportation (MTO) regulations and the Highway Traffic Act
Compensation / Hours:
· Hourly Wage: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour, based on experience.
· Minimum of 40 hours per week
· Most weeks consist of 44-50 hours
· Overtime paid after 44 hours in a work week
