Location: Pickering / GTA, Ontario (on-location shoots + remote editing) Type: Co-op / Part-time / Freelance (flexible open to student co-op terms or contract) Compensation: 25/hour
About the Role
I'm a realtor building out a personal brand and content page (krisg.realestate) across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts, and I'm looking for a content producer to help me shoot and edit dozens of pieces of content per week — real estate tips, market insights, listing walkthroughs, and behind-the-scenes content that builds trust and audience with home buyers and sellers in the GTA.
This isn't a "point and shoot" role. I want someone who understands short-form platforms at a strategic level — hooks, retention, pacing, trending audio, and what actually drives engagement and follows, not just polish.
What You'll Do
- Shoot and edit short-form video content multiple times per week (reels, TikToks, Shorts)
- Pitch content ideas and formats, not just execute a shot list
- Manage the full content pipeline: shoot → edit → caption → post → track performance
- Stay on top of platform trends, audio, and formats, and adapt them to a real estate/personal brand
- Use engagement data (views, saves, shares, retention) to inform what we make next
- Occasional graphic/carousel design support (Canva, Adobe Suite)
What I'm Looking For
- Proof, not just interest. You've grown a real account (personal, club, brand, or freelance) with real numbers — followers, impressions, engagement — and can show it.
- You understand the platforms, not just the editing software. You can talk about hooks, retention curves, swipe-through rate, and why the first two seconds matter.
- You've run the full pipeline solo before — shooting, editing, posting, and iterating based on performance — not just one piece of a bigger team's process.
- You're a self-starter. I need someone who can pitch ideas and move fast without heavy oversight.
- Proficiency in editing tools — CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, Premiere, or similar — plus basic graphic design (Canva/Adobe).
Nice to Have
- Experience with real estate, local business, or personal brand content specifically
- Photography/videography equipment of your own
- Experience batch-producing content on a recurring schedule (e.g., freelance or agency work)
To Apply
Send your resume plus links to content you've personally shot and edited (a reel, a portfolio, an account you've grown) to [email protected]. Please include any metrics you're proud of followers gained, impressions, engagement growth for the content you're showing me.
