Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, hardworking Construction General Labourer to join our team. This position will support our team with a variety of general construction duties on multiple residential and light commercial development sites.
We are looking for someone who is dependable, safety-conscious, physically capable, and willing to take direction and help wherever needed on-site.
Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters, site supervisors, and sub-trades with general construction activities
- Load, unload, move, and organize construction material and supplies
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, including regular site cleanup
- Remove construction debris and dispose of materials appropriately
- Assist with material handling and deliveries
- Perform basic demolition, preparation, and general labour tasks as required
- Use basic hand and power tools safely
- Assist with temporary protection, site setup, and other construction-related tasks
- Follow instructions provided by Site Superintendent and other supervisors
- Follow all company and site-specific health and safety requirements
- Perform other general duties as required to support the construction team
Qualifications
- Previous construction or general labour experience is an asset
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation
- Physically capable of lifting and carrying construction materials and performing repetitive physical tasks
- Able to work on your feet for extended periods and in varying weather conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely in an active construction environment
