The School of Manufacturing and Automation provides skills and leadership training to meet the needs of Alberta's oil and gas, transportation, manufacturing and automation sectors. We are learner-centered and committed to delivering curriculum excellence in support of student success.
Reporting to the Academic Chair, we are recruiting for Instructors for our Non-Destructive Testing Program. This position is responsible for training students in Non-Destructive Testing methods and will appeal to an individual who seeks challenge and the opportunity to work with motivated learners and staff.

Some of the courses and teaching area of expertise that you will instruct in include: Ultrasonics, Radiography, Eddy Current, Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, and Materials and Processes.

Note: This is a temporary, part-time (20+ hours/week) adjunct position with a potential end date of June 30, 2019. Possibility for extension or full-time employment.
Job Description

Instruct high level technology courses to mature learners
Develop course outlines, profiles and curriculum
Participate in curriculum and program reviews
Prepare additional study and lab materials for learners
Evaluate student progress and achievement
Provide ongoing support, guidance and advice to learners
Maintain close contact with relevant industry sectors
Perform related duties as assigned to meet the emerging needs of SAIT and its students

Must have multiple Canadian General Standard Board Level 2 certifications.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the Non-Destructive Testing field is preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills as well as a commitment to learner success.
Ability to work independently and as a positive team player.
Strong prioritization and time management skills.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
