Job Description
We are looking for a new team member to represent VMS Distribution across Southern Alberta (Red Deer south to Cardston and Lethbridge), Eastern BC (Golden to Cranbrook), and Western Saskatchewan (Saskatoon to Swift Current). This role involves visiting accounts in person, meeting with managers or owners to review current sales programs, and introducing new products. The territory is well established and includes a strong customer base across a variety of retail channels. While the initial focus will be on maintaining and servicing existing customers, account development and new customer acquisition are essential parts of the role.
This is a full-time, Monday-to-Friday position that is ideal for someone with strong time management skills. It is not a typical “9-to-5” role. We will provide guidelines and a schedule during the initial training period; once you are fully trained, you will have the flexibility to manage your territory and maximize your sales potential. Due to the size of the territory, overnight travel is required, averaging 9 to 12 nights per month.
We offer an extensive initial training period with hands-on support from one of our Sales Managers. This training ensures the successful candidate gains the product knowledge, education, and customer service standards needed to succeed in the role.

Qualifications and Skills
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Comfortable meeting and speaking with new people
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to submit reports and paperwork on time
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite is an asset
- Valid driver’s licence; successful candidates must provide a three-year driver’s abstract
- Able to lift at least 50 lbs. (22 kg)
- Team-first attitude and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done
- Available for mandatory overnight weekday travel, up to three nights per week
- Able to travel regionally, nationally, and possibly internationally
- Previous outside sales or route sales experience is preferred
- Able to start within two weeks of accepting an offer
