Overview
We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and professional Bartender/Server to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service, a strong knowledge of food and beverage offerings, and experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Prior experience with POS systems such as Micros POS and food handling procedures is highly valued. Candidates should demonstrate excellent time management, math skills, and a commitment to food safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their visit
- Take and serve drink orders accurately using POS systems like Micros POS
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of hospitality
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Ensure proper food safety and food handling procedures are followed at all times
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar and dining area in accordance with health regulations
- Manage multiple tables or bar stations effectively during busy hours
- Assist in setting up and breaking down service stations as needed
- Engage with guests to create a welcoming atmosphere and promote menu items
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in restaurant or food service industry preferred, especially in serving or bartending roles
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Touch Bistro POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse guest needs professionally
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing, and inventory management
- Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Hospitality experience is desirable but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is essential
- Must be at least 18 years old or older to serve alcohol
