Join our cannabis processing team as a Production Technician and become a vital part of our developing production process! In this fast-paced role, you will operate cannabis processing equipment and maintain it to ensure smooth and efficient plant operations. Your attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and hands-on experience will help drive our production facility's success. Role Responsibilities
- Operate cannabis processing equipment such as ethanol centrifuges, hydrocarbon extraction units, falling film evaporators, and short path distillation units.
- Use equipment to produce high-quality cannabinoid compounds according to SOPs, adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Operate equipment with a high level of organization and cleanliness.
- Accurately document production activities in batch production records and logbooks, and submit them to QAP for review.
- Work with QAP to resolve all deviations as they occur.
- Perform inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks on machinery to minimize downtime.
- Assist with equipment setup, calibration, and adjustments to optimize performance.
- Use a forklift to efficiently manage raw material deliveries, storage, and product shipments.
- Follow safety protocols diligently while handling chemicals, operating machinery, and working within the manufacturing facility.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
Role Requirements
- Production/manufacturing facility experience, preferably within the cannabis or beverage industries.
- Prior experience operating cannabis processing equipment is considered a great asset.
- Knowledge of cannabis chemistry is an asset.
- Ability to multitask and operate multiple pieces of equipment concurrently while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to quickly troubleshoot equipment issues. Experienced using tools for maintenance and assembly.
- Experience safely handling flammable chemicals.
- Experience operating forklifts. A current, valid forklift certification is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
