Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Material Handler to join our team. This role is essential for ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and management of materials within our warehouse facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, including the operation of heavy equipment and familiarity with warehouse management systems. Responsibilities
- Load and unload shipments using appropriate heavy equipment such as forklifts/Moffett
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with precision and efficiency
- Operate heavy machinery safely, including forklift - following all safety protocols
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the warehouse management system
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns
- Support construction or assembly projects as needed, utilizing construction experience when applicable
- Ensure the warehouse is organized, clean, and compliant with safety standards
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals
- Deliver materials to site
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse shipping & receiving, or related roles
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Experience with order picking and load & unload procedures in a fast-paced environment
- Construction or industrial experience is a plus for handling specialized tasks
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including forklift driving
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a physically demanding environment
This position requires candidates to be capable of performing physically demanding tasks while adhering to safety standards. Prior warehouse experience and mechanical skills are highly desirable for success in this role.
Pay: $18.00-$30.00 per hour
