Accreditation Canada is seeking a Project Manager, who shares our passion for achieving quality health services for all. Serving more than 1100 organizations with over 7000 sites across Canada, we assess health and social services organizations against rigorously developed and internationally accredited health and social services standards to build capacity and continuously improve quality.
As our Project Manager, you will be responsible for the management and coordination of our Québec strategy, which entails the development and implementation of providing accreditation services to public health institutions and enabling teams in implementing growth strategies. You will keep track of deliverables and monitor progress to ensure client satisfaction. You will play a vital role in impacting the efforts of health services organizations, both in Canada and around the world as they strive towards providing all patients with the quality and safety of service that we, our friends, and our family count on.
We are looking for someone who is a self-starter and is motivated by challenges to bring new and innovative ideas to the table. Having a full plate doesn’t intimidate, but rather motivates you. You have a knack for prioritizing and juggling multiple projects. You are flexible and can adjust your course as needed. You have a deep understanding and experience in change management, stakeholder management, product management, and project management (project planning, implementation, evaluation, budget management, risk assessment, benefits realization). You also bring an interest and understanding of health systems at home in Canada and around the world.
Embracing new, and strengthening existing relationships comes naturally to you. You love to learn from and collaborate with others. You have a strong command of both French and English language, as communicating in both official languages is imperative.
Let’s break it down. Your responsibilities include:
Facing outward: you are the point person for our program partners. Work with them to understand their needs, then bring together our internal resources to address those needs.
Looking inward: you engage with our internal business units to ensure solutions are being delivered to our clients, forecast necessary resources, plan and lead projects. Your project management skills will be key in ensuring the successful design and implementation of our programs.
Building rapport, both internally and externally: Engaging other comes naturally to you, and you’re an experienced and skilled negotiator.
Creating: You will play a critical role in the development and management of project plans, budgets, policies and procedures, as well as RFPs.
Crafting: You will be developing a variety of communications, including briefing notes, proposal development, and reports for senior management
Supporting: You will support our Director, Quebec and Atlantic Region, in Montreal
You have a unique history. Does it include the education and experience listed below?
University degree in Health Care Administration, Business or a related field, or the equivalent in experience.
Deep understanding of and insight into the healthcare ecosystem.
Minimum of 5+ years of progressive and varied experience within the field of quality improvement in healthcare.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in project management and/or product management
Fluently bilingual in both official languages; French and English.
A proven ability to work under pressure while juggling multiple priorities and deadlines.
Detail-oriented. You’ve heard this before, but we can’t stress it enough: the devil is in the details. You notice big and little mistakes, and are comfortable reviewing the work of your team and accepting the thorough review of your own work.
Accountability and Ownership. We want to hear examples of times when you have stepped up, taken ownership and ran with it.
Tried and tested assessment, analytical and critical-thinking skills.
Outstanding interpersonal skills. This is key. You’ll be interacting daily with our clients as well as teams across the organization.
You’ll stand out if you...
Are PMP certified.
Are familiar with our Qmentum program and accreditation process.
Understand the Canadian health ecosystem and the challenges it faces.
Are enthusiastic and passionate! (We have an ambitious mission and it will be our collective energy that will get us there. We’re looking for someone who cares about what they do!)
