Position Summary
Skotidakis Goat Farm is pleased to offer the position of Human Resources & Recruiter. The Human Resources & Recruiter is responsible for supporting and coordinating daily HR activities, recruitment and staffing, employee records, payroll support, and general administrative functions. The position works closely with management and employees to support the organization's human resources needs and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the activities of the Human Resources Department to support the organization's goals and objectives.
- Develop, prepare, and post job advertisements using various employment websites and recruitment platforms.
- Recruit, screen, interview, and hire workers, and coordinate related staffing and onboarding activities.
- Ensure required employee onboarding documentation is completed, maintained, and kept up to date.
- Assist with establishing, implementing, reviewing, and maintaining HR policies, procedures, and workplace practices.
- Liaise with management and employees regarding HR-related matters.
- Answer telephone calls and electronic inquiries and direct messages to the appropriate individual or department.
- Greet visitors, employees, and applicants and direct them to the appropriate contact or service area.
- Set up and maintain manual and computerized filing systems for employee and HR records.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate employee information in HR and computerized systems.
- Prepare, type, format, and proofread correspondence, forms, reports, and other HR documents.
- Maintain the confidentiality and security of employee and company information.
- Assist with employee relations, attendance, performance management, disciplinary documentation, and other HR matters.
- Coordinate interviews, orientations, training, and other employee-related activities.
- Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources Department.
- Assist with preparing for internal and external audits, including organizing and maintaining required HR records, documentation, and supporting materials.
- Provide payroll administration support and assist with payroll-related employee inquiries and documentation.
- Perform other HR-related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- St. Eugene, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Education:
- Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:
- Human resources: 1 year (required)
Work Location: In person
