Brief Overview:
The Métis Nation-Saskatchewan Ministry of Early Learning and Sports is seeking a strong team player, committed to quality service to provide a range of services as an Early Learning and Child Care Resource Developer. This position reports to the Director of Early Learning and Sports and is based at the Métis Nation–Saskatchewan office in Saskatoon, SK.
Key Responsibilities

Create and facilitate the development, revision, implementation and continuous updating and improvement of Early Learning focused educational resources.

Review and evaluate the effectiveness of Métis content inclusion in Early Learning education.

Identify gaps in Early Learning curricula and/or resources as it relates to Métis people.

Ensures Métis perspectives, pedagogy and world views are included throughout Early Learning resources.

Research to find appropriate resources and curricula to improve the quality of Métis content for all early learning environments.

Provide continuous and consistent feedback on Métis content to external contractors (e.g., content developers, reviewers) to ensure high-quality products.

Collaborate with key stakeholders (e.g., Ministry of Education, educational partners, etc.) to recommend potential solutions to consider for addressing any gaps in early learning and child care curricula and resources.

In consultation with the Director of Education develop an annual resource plan.

Promote, track, and measure compliance with program funding requirements by creating and implementing appropriate data collection, reporting, and/or recordkeeping processes.

Collaborate and work together as a team with the MN–S Early Learning and Sports Ministry to accomplish other duties and tasks when assigned.

Qualifications:
- ECE Level 3 with minimum 5 years experience.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in education with a focus in Early Learning.

Minimum 2 year's experience in a similar role.
Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge of Métis culture.

Strong communication skills including speaking, writing, and active listening skills.

Strong computer skills (including Microsoft Word, Excel, database software, electronic communication tools such as Microsoft Outlook).

Strong time-management skills along with the ability to prioritize daily tasks, organizational skills, and effective decision-making abilities.

Willingness to work within a team environment.

Exceptional written and oral communications skills.

Excellent work attendance.

Sound problem solving and decision-making skills as well as attention to detail.

Interpersonal skills and an ability to demonstrate de-escalation and conflict resolution in difficult situations.
