Job Overview
Shift: Afternoons 4pm-12am Monday-Friday
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Operations Team Lead provides hands-on leadership and operational support to the warehouse team during the afternoon shift. This position helps coordinate daily warehouse activities while ensuring orders are accurate, operations remain efficient, and safety standards are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support warehouse team members with order picking, staging, and truck loading.
- Coordinate daily workflow and communicate operational, inventory, or shipping issues to management.
- Work with internal departments to resolve order and shipping concerns.
- Verify order accuracy prior to shipment.
- Assist with picking, loading, unloading, and material handling as required.
- Conduct cycle counts and support inventory accuracy.
- Provide coverage during absences and peak periods.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report safety or maintenance concerns.
- Maintain organized inventory, storage areas, and overall warehouse cleanliness.
- Use computerized inventory systems to track product movement and inventory.
- Complete shift reports and ensure end-of-shift security procedures are followed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience preferred.
- Previous leadership or lead hand experience is an asset.
- Strong communication, teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Comfortable using computers and inventory management systems.
- Ability to safely operate warehouse and material handling equipment.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 22 kg (50 lbs.).
- Physically able to bend, crouch, kneel, reach, and work at heights.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
