Full-Time Cashier & Merchandiser
This is a full-time position. Please apply only if you are available to work full-time.
Duties
- Maintain product displays and ensure they are visually appealing and aligned with company standards.
- Stock shelves, replenish merchandise, and rotate products to ensure freshness and proper presentation.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and report low-stock or out-of-stock items to management.
- Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing incoming shipments.
- Ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and safe for customers.
- Assist customers with inquiries by providing accurate information about products, promotions, and store policies.
- Operate the cash register and process cash, debit, and credit card transactions accurately.
- Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift and follow all cash-handling procedures.
- Issue receipts, refunds, exchanges, and process returns according to company policies.
- Promote featured products and upsell items when appropriate.
- Resolve basic customer concerns professionally and escalate complex issues to management when necessary.
- Follow company policies, health and safety standards, and loss prevention procedures.
- Support the team with general store operations and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Full-time availability is required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, inventory management, and transaction processing.
- Previous cashier, retail, or merchandising experience is an asset but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
- Strong customer service skills with a positive and professional attitude.
- Ability to lift and move merchandise and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player with a strong work ethic.
Pay: $17.60-$18.60 per hour

Education:
- Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:
- Cashiering: 2 years (required)
- Merchandising: 2 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Serving It Right (preferred)
