Position Overview:
Reporting to the Operations Lead, the incumbent of the position is responsible for the planning and execution of all warehouse shipments/receiving operations and inventory management.
Specific functions:
· Create manifests for daily shipping needs
· Plan transfers/pick-ups
· Generate pick lists for the daily schedule
· Picking and shipping of orders on time
· Responsible for handling complaints with carriers
· Negotiate and get the best transportation rates available
· Supervise warehouse staff with the help of the branch manager
· Maintain order and cleanliness in the warehouse
· Comply with all security policies and procedures and ensure the safety of warehouse employees
· Conduct monthly inspections of the workplace and send it to the Director of Human Resources
· Perform inventory accounts
· Work collaboratively with the branch manager to ensure inventory accuracy
· Assist in hiring warehouse staff
· Other assigned functions
Skills and qualifications:
· Min. 1 year of forklift experience
· Vaid, out of house forklift license will be considered as asset
· Min. 1 year of warehouse supervision experience for building materials industry
· Excellent communication skills; must be able to work well with others.
· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
· Possesses superior time management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with Minimal supervision
· Strong leadership skills
· Attention to details
· Demonstrate leadership in achieving the company's short- and long-term goals.
· Basic computer skills required in Microsoft Office
· Ability to lift heavy loads
· Overtime may be required
