The Director, Health & Life Sciences is a global expert who will collaborate with operations leaders to steer, orchestrate and support the growth of CGI's Health & Life sciences industry globally. Reporting
The Director, Health & Life Sciences will report to the Vice President, Strategic Marketing. S/he is a member of the Global Strategic Industry Cabinet and the Global Extended Marketing & Communications Leadership Team.

As Director, Health & Life Sciences Industry you will collaborate with operations leaders to steer, orchestrate and support the growth of CGI's Health & Life sciences industry. The role is part of the Strategic Marketing Center of Expertise, which aims to partner with CGI's leaders, global offering owners and marketing & communications colleagues to articulate, align, amplify and activate the company's compelling global value propositions.
This high visibility role requires hands on development and implementation of strategy content, thought leadership and insights—with the ability to get things done through relationships and influence.
With Industry Strategic Cabinets, articulate a bold industry vision and CGI’s desired positioning covering our full end-to-end range of services and solutions
- Informed by Strategic Business Units (SBU) business plans, provide insight into macroeconomic forces, client
drivers, competitive landscape, risk factors, and key trends to inform industry development plans that drive
global alignment on the offerings, initiatives and deals that will drive the highest profitable growth for the
company
- Engage with SBUs in client relationship building, participating in client meetings and EIEs to communicate
CGI’s industry differentiation, insights and global capabilities—to help position and win deals
- Provide industry expertise to global offering owners to inform the development of services and solutions
- Craft incisive, provocative thought leadership to position CGI in the market—both individually through your
speaking, media and analyst relations—and by working with Marketing business partners on re-usable assets
- Develop and evolve CGI’s Industry Blueprints and other key frameworks, and lead adoption in operations
- Lead the data analysis, synthesis and storytelling for CGI’s Voice of Our Clients for selected industries
- Collaborating across the MarCom COEs and Business Partners to help prioritize marketing priorities, content creation, event strategies and campaigns
- Maintain the global and local communities of subject matter experts
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- Deep understanding of the Health & Life Sciences market and how professional services firms drive growth
- Understanding of the IT services market
- Ability to develop thought leadership / industry business perspectives and points of view
- Analytical expertise to help identify sharp business insights from data
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills; ability to craft and deliver compelling narratives
- Development of relevant KPIs, benchmarks and reporting related to Industry reporting
- Creative and innovative thinker; ability to generate new ideas and solutions that differentiate the company
- Precise, conscientious attention to detail
- Bachelor’s degree in industry-related studies, IT, or related field
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $125,000–$175,000 This role is an existing vacancy.
