Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and constructing various types of commercial buildings using wood, steel, and concrete. This includes interpreting blueprints, preparing layouts in accordance with building codes, and executing work to meet project timelines.
This role requires the ability to operate a variety of heavy equipment and work effectively within a team-oriented environment. A strong commitment to safety practices and adherence to company safety programs is essential and expected of all employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and construct commercial buildings using wood, steel, and concrete
- Read and interpret building plans and blueprints
- Prepare layouts in accordance with applicable building codes
- Operate heavy equipment as required for construction activities
- Work collaboratively within a team environment to meet project deadlines
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Previous commercial construction experience with a strong understanding of building codes
- Competency to operate heavy equipment with appropriate certification tickets
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to take and understand direction
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Commitment to safety practices and company safety programs
- Ability to pass a post offer test for employment
- Flexibility to work overtime and travel out of town as required
- Strong customer service mindset
Preferred Qualifications
- Carpenter trade certification
- Fall Protection certification
