Job Description:
Title: Senior Accountant
Reports to: Controller
Job Duties:
- Collecting, analyzing & reporting on cost accounting data.

Developing strategies to reduce costs and study product pricing to ensure the best possible return on investment for the company

Responsible for Full cycle Inventory Accounting, monitoring & tracking of variances

Maintaining the inventory & costing database to ensure data accuracy

Assist internal teams with production costing, budgeting & forecasting.
- Assist with month-end financial reporting on multi-accounting books for review and discussion.

Assisting with system & process implementations & providing feedback on improvements.
- Coordinate & manage physical inventory counts to ensure accuracy over inventory records

Managing spoilage and Interdepartmental Transfers
Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in accounting/ finance.
- 5+ years proven experience in Accounting ideally in retail, food production industries.

CPA Designation or nearing completion of designation.
- Experience utilizing Netsuite & ECRS Catapult will be considered a strong asset.

Strong Financial Acumen & analytical agility

Detail oriented, organized & ability to meet tight deadlines

Advanced knowledge in Excel & MS Office.

Self motivated & results driven; prefers to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
Working conditions
Working in an office environment 5 days a week. May require some weekends & evenings from time to time to support business needs.
