Instructor, Business Analytics

BCIT School of Business requires one temporary, part-time Instructor for periods of up to 3 months at our Downtown campus in Vancouver to deliver training in our Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics program. This contract includes instructional responsibilities such as: teaching provincial curriculum; short-term coverage for full-time Instructor release; preparing and presenting classroom lectures, course delivery and assessment materials; providing practical demonstrations; and working collaboratively within our Business Analytics team and with the Program Head.

Minimum Qualifications:QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in Business Analytics, Business Intelligence or related Data Science and/or Decision Support Science degree.
Professional-level, current, subject matter expertise in business analytics.
Three years during the past ten, of demonstrated success in a Business Analytics role in North America.
Strong functional ability in MS Excel, including Power tools, Statistical Add-on packages, and related extensions.
Documented experience working as an Instructor in a post-secondary or industrial setting within a team environment is an asset.
Professional competence preparing, developing, delivering and administering post-secondary courses.
Excellent English-language communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal and people-management skills.
Demonstrated ability to deliver in class and online learning in applied statistics, quantitative methodologies, and applied decision support tool sets.
Ability to motivate adult learners to achieve academic success.
An established network of relevant professional contacts.

Salary Range:
$47.67 to $95.30 per contact hour, inclusive of vacation and holiday pay.
