We are seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Medical Office Assistant to join our busy Family Medicine Clinic. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting patient care and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the clinic.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and register patients in a professional and courteous manner
- Answer and direct telephone calls
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
- Maintain accurate patient records and update demographic information
- Process referrals, consultation reports, and incoming correspondence
- Fax, scan, file, and upload medical documents
- Assist physicians with administrative tasks and patient follow-up
- Coordinate laboratory and diagnostic imaging requisitions
- Manage clinic email communications and patient inquiries
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy regulations
- Perform general office duties and assist with clinic workflow as needed
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, and email systems
- Professional, reliable, and patient-focused attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Assets (Preferred but Not Required):
- Previous experience working in a Family Medicine or Primary Care clinic
- Experience using PS Suite Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Experience handling specialist referrals, forms, and insurance paperwork
