As our student enrollment continues to grow, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Saxophone Instructor to join our team.
Position Details
Position: Part-Time Saxophone Instructor/Manager
Location:
Wisdominds Music Lessons Centre

Employment Type: Part-Time
Schedule: Primarily afternoons, evenings, and weekends based on student demand.
Compensation: Competitive salary or hourly rate based on qualifications, experience, and student enrollment.
Position Overview
The Saxophone Instructor will be responsible for delivering high-quality saxophone instruction to children, youth, and adults while helping students achieve their musical goals through engaging, structured, and personalized lessons.
The successful candidate will play an important role in shaping the student experience, supporting performances and recitals, and contributing to the continued growth and success of the Centre.
Key Responsibilitie
- Deliver private saxophone lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels.
- Teach saxophone technique, music theory, sight-reading, rhythm, ear training, and performance skills.
- Develop individualized lesson plans that meet students' learning objectives.
- Foster a positive, encouraging, and motivating learning environment.
- Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Student Development
- Prepare students for recitals, examinations, auditions, competitions, and performances.
- Inspire confidence, discipline, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for music.
- Adapt teaching approaches to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
Communication & Administration
- Maintain accurate lesson records, attendance, and progress reports.
- Communicate professionally with students, parents, and administration.
- Provide recommendations for student development and progression.
Community Engagement
- Participate in student recitals, concerts, workshops, music camps, and community events.
- Support the development of group classes and special music programs.
- Contribute ideas that enhance the overall student experience and growth of the Centre.
Qualifications Required
- Strong saxophone skills and comprehensive music theory knowledge.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students of all ages.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Professional, punctual, reliable, and student-focused.
Preferred
- Experience working in music schools, community programs, or educational settings.
- Experience teaching/tutoring
Additional Requirements
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Commitment to excellence in music education and student success.
