The Comox Valley is Vancouver Island’s hidden gem. Located on the West coast of the Salish Sea, half way up the Island, the Comox Valley includes the towns of Comox, Courtenay and Cumberland which together have an immediate catchment of almost 70,000 people. The new hospital is located in Courtenay, just 10 minutes from sandy ocean beach, 15 minutes from the world class Cumberland mountain biking trails, 35 minutes from the Mount Washington ski resort and 1 hour from Nanaimo. The Comox Valley also has a thriving airport with direct flights to Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and seasonal flights to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
In addition to regional big box stores, our three downtown cores are filled with trendy shops, restaurants and brew pubs. The weekly farmer’s market offers access to live entertainment and locally grown produce. In comparison to nearby cities, housing remains affordable with access to both French and English schools and high quality day care. The Comox Valley is truly an excellent place to live and work.
