Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Lead Window and Door Installer to oversee installation projects, ensure quality standards, and lead a team of installers. This role requires a strong background in construction, carpentry, and various installation techniques. The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to read schematics and blueprints, and a commitment to safety and precision. As a lead, you will be responsible for coordinating daily operations, mentoring team members, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to client specifications.
Duties
- Lead and supervise installation teams during window and door projects, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Install windows, doors, and related fixtures using hand tools and power tools with precision.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute installation plans.
- Perform caulking, sealing, and weatherproofing to ensure energy efficiency and durability of installations.
- Manage project timelines by coordinating with suppliers, clients, and other trades such as plumbing or electrical when necessary.
- Conduct site inspections to verify measurements, alignment, and overall quality of work.
- Troubleshoot installation issues on-site by interpreting schematics or construction plans.
- Maintain a clean work environment and ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained.
- Provide mentorship to team members on proper techniques for carpentry, restoration work, flooring installation, tile laying, welding, painting, plumbing, or other relevant skills.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction with a focus on window and door installation or related fields such as carpentry or restoration.
- Strong knowledge of hand tools, power tools, schematics, blueprints reading, caulking techniques, and construction safety standards.
- Ability to read technical drawings including schematics for complex installations.
- Skilled in various construction trades including carpentry, painting, plumbing, welding, flooring installation, or tile laying is preferred.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail in measuring and fitting components accurately.
- Valid driver’s license is preferred for site travel purposes.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety protocols.

Pay: $25.00-$42.00 per hour
