The Superintendent leads the construction process for large-scale industrial and commercial projects, ensuring all activities align with the established design, budget, and schedule. This role involves planning, scheduling, organizing, directing, and controlling all on-site construction activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing large industrial or commercial building projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Field and site management of the project(s) and all project activities.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel.
- Lead site meetings, maintain clear communication, and resolve conflicts or challenges as they arise
- Work closely with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to maintain open communication, anticipate challenges, and meet project requirements
- Manage and motivate site crews, subcontractors, and suppliers to align with project timelines and standards.
- Manage resources effectively, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local building codes and regulations
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in construction site management
- Skilled Trade Certification preferred
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 Suite (Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel, Teams).
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong delegation skills with the ability to set expectations and monitor progress.
- Good physical condition and stamina.
