Childcare worker to work in a French licensed daycare centre with children 0-12yrs. Salary ranges based on applicable childcare related qualifications. Experience and working knowledge of the French language is a must. Fluency is an asset. Benefit packages available to full time employees.
Duties:
- Work as a part of a team to develop age appropriate programming to support all areas of growth. (Physical, Cognitive, Social/Emotional)
- Independently implement activities and assessments in the classroom.
- Be engaging throughout the day while also ensuring safety of the children in your classroom.
- Guide and assist children with eating, dressing and toileting routines (including toileting and diapering infants and toddlers)
- Observe and document successes and struggles, interests and needs in order to plan for next steps.
- Communicate with parents and maintain positive and professional relationships.
- Submit written observations to early childhood educators or supervisors and prepare daily reports.
- Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and nap time.
- Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of each child.

Le Jardin des Decouvertes is a French daycare that follows a French-based program and a child-centered philosophy. Our daycare offers a program in which the child grows and develops intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically. Our curriculum fosters opportunities for children to develop their French language skills and acquire an appreciation for the French Canadian culture through various activities.
Pay: $19.60-$27.00 per hour
