Production Associate – Swole Bears
Location: Mount Uniacke, NS (Pending Facility Opening)
Swole Bears is a fast-growing Nova Scotia food company making high-protein gummy bears. We're looking for 2–3 Production Associates to join our team as we move into our new manufacturing facility.
This is a great opportunity to join a growing company from the beginning and help scale production across Atlantic Canada.
Responsibilities
During your first month, you'll be trained in:
- Removing gummy bears from molds (demolding)
- Inspecting products for quality
- Weighing and packaging finished products
- Heat sealing bags
- Applying labels and lot codes
- Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and workstations
- Following food safety and sanitation procedures
As you become comfortable with production, you'll also be trained to:
- Prepare ingredients according to recipes
- Operate commercial cooking equipment
- Cook and mix batches of gummy bears
- Monitor temperatures, weights, and production records
Qualifications
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to stand for extended periods
- Comfortable lifting up to 25 kg (55 lb)
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to follow written procedures accurately
- Food manufacturing or kitchen experience is an asset, but not required
- Food Handler Certification is an asset (training can be provided)
- Good hand eye coordination
