Experienced MOA – OB/GYN Group Practice

We are a busy and well-established group practice of six Obstetricians and Gynecologists (OB/GYNs) serving patients in downtown west Ottawa. We are seeking an experienced, organized, and patient-focused Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our collaborative team.
This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced specialist practice, values exceptional patient service, and is comfortable managing multiple priorities while supporting physicians in delivering high-quality women's healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist patients in a professional and compassionate manner
- Answer and manage incoming telephone calls and patient inquiries
- Schedule, confirm, and coordinate appointments
- Register new patients and maintain accurate patient information
- Manage and update electronic medical records using Accuro EMR
- Process referrals, consultation requests, requisitions, and physician correspondence
- Coordinate communication with hospitals, laboratories, imaging facilities, pharmacies, and community healthcare providers
- Support physician scheduling and clinic workflow
- Scan, upload, and organize medical documentation
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and privacy standards
- Perform general administrative duties to support clinic operations
Qualifications
Required
- Previous experience working as a Medical Office Assistant in a physician office, specialist clinic, or healthcare setting
- Demonstrated proficiency with Accuro EMR
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy clinical environment
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
- Professional, reliable, and patient-centered approach
Preferred
- Experience in an OB/GYN, women's health, or specialist practice
- Medical Office Assistant diploma or equivalent training
- Familiarity with Ontario specialist referral processes
- Bilingual (English/French)
Work Environment
- Full-time position
- Primarily in-office role located in downtown west Ottawa
- Following successful onboarding and training, there may be flexibility for up to two remote work days per month, subject to operational requirements
