Senior Property/Operations Administrator
Location: Edmonton, AB
Industry: Commercial Property Management
Salary Range: $70,000 - $75,000
Company Story:
I'm working with an established commercial real estate owner with a strong portfolio of directly owned assets. This is a stable, hands-on environment where the property team works closely together to keep operations organized, responsive, and moving forward. The Edmonton team is looking for an experienced administrator who enjoys being at the center of the action, supporting both people and properties while bringing structure to a busy portfolio.
The Right Fit:
As the Senior Property/Operations Administrator, you'll play a key role in supporting the commercial portfolio while providing day-to-day leadership and guidance to the administrative team. You'll work closely with property and operations leadership, helping coordinate priorities, maintain accurate documentation, support tenants and vendors, and ensure the team stays ahead of deadlines and outstanding items.
A critical part of this role is commercial lease administration. You need to be comfortable reading and interpreting commercial leases, identifying key dates, financial obligations, operating provisions, and other requirements, then translating those details into accurate administrative action. You'll be successful here if you're highly organized, detail-oriented, approachable, and comfortable working with different personalities and competing priorities.
What You'll be Doing:
- Lead, support, and coordinate the day-to-day workflow of the property administration team
- Read and interpret commercial leases, amendments, renewals, and related documentation
- Track critical lease dates, tenant obligations, rent changes, recoveries, and required documentation
- Coordinate tenant communication, service requests, vendor activity, and operational follow-up
- Maintain accurate lease files, contracts, property records, and digital documentation
- Support property and operations leadership with reporting, correspondence, projects, and portfolio priorities
- Monitor outstanding items and deadlines, following up with internal teams, tenants, and vendors as required
- Help improve administrative processes and maintain consistency across the commercial portfolio
What You Bring to the Table:
- 5+ years of commercial property administration, lease administration, or related commercial real estate experience
- Strong ability to read, understand, and interpret commercial lease agreements
- Previous experience providing leadership, mentorship, or workflow coordination to an administrative team
- Excellent organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a range of personalities
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and experience with property management or accounting systems
- A proactive work style with strong follow-through and ownership of administrative processes
What's in It for You:
- Full-time, permanent opportunity with an established commercial property owner
- Salary range of $70,000 - $75,000
- Senior-level role with team leadership responsibility
- Exposure to a directly owned commercial real estate portfolio
- Opportunity to play an important role in improving processes and supporting portfolio operations
