As an Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations of our restaurant. Your expertise and leadership will ensure the highest quality of food and service for our guests. Here are some of the key duties you will be performing:
- Supervising and managing a team of kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and other kitchen personnel.
- Planning and creating menus that align with our restaurant's concept and customer preferences.
- Ensuring that all food preparation and cooking is done to the highest standards, following proper techniques and recipes.
- Monitoring food quality and presentation to maintain consistency and meet customer expectations.
- Managing inventory and ordering supplies to ensure efficient operations.
- Collaborating with the restaurant management team to develop time saving methods for dish preparations.
- Managing and scheduling your employees.
- Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Training and mentoring kitchen staff to enhance their skills and performance.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary trends, and industry best practices.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- In-depth understanding of food safety regulations and procedures.
- Proficient in menu planning, costing, and inventory management.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
