Responsibilities:
- Setup, program and operate CNC Horizontal Boring Mills independently
- Create and modify programs on machine control
- Heidenhain controls
- Read, interpret and understand engineering blueprints
- Pre-inspect parts prior to metal removal process
- Determine machining process and setups
- Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions during machining process
- Evaluate product quality and adjust programming as needed
- Optimize programs for cycle time reduction and part quality improvement
Experience:
- 5 years’ experience working with medium to large precision components on CNC Horizontal Boring Mills
- Experienced in machining medium to large sized castings
