Jardeg is currently recruiting for an experienced Concrete Foreperson to join the Technical Workforce Inc. team, supporting our various infrastructure projects in Calgary, AB!
At this time, this position is for local candidates only, as it does not have camp accommodations, travel allowance, or living out allowance.
This position is a 5 days on and 2 days off schedule with the possibility of working afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise concrete finishing crews on infrastructure projects.

Plan and coordinate daily work activities to meet production and scheduling requirements.

Read and interpret construction drawings, survey layouts, and project specifications.

Oversee the placement, finishing, curing, and protection of concrete.

Ensure compliance with company safety policies and Alberta OH&S regulations.

Conduct daily safety meetings, hazard assessments, and site inspections.

Coordinate labour, materials, subcontractors, and equipment requirements.

Monitor work quality and ensure all work meets project specifications and client expectations.

Train, mentor, and develop crew members.

Communicate effectively with Superintendents, Project Managers, inspectors, and clients.

Complete daily reports, timekeeping records, and production tracking.

Troubleshoot field challenges and identify solutions to maintain project schedules.
Minimum Requirements:
- Preference will be given to candidates with a Journeyperson Concrete Finisher Certification from a recognized provincial training authority

Minimum 5 years of civil concrete experience, including supervisory or foreperson experience.

Strong knowledge of concrete placement, finishing, curing, and quality control practices.

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Must be comfortable in working at different project sites

Experience with infrastructure projects such as concrete structures and foundations, bridge deck placements, formwork systems, etc.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
