Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter / Site Supervisor to take full ownership of assigned projects from start to finish. This role blends hands-on carpentry expertise with leadership and coordination. You’ll oversee site operations, supervise crew members, manage materials and timelines, and ensure every job meets our high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise carpenters, apprentices, and labourers on residential and light-commercial projects.
- Coordinate daily work schedules and delegate tasks efficiently.
- Manage job sites to ensure productivity, quality, and safety.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Perform skilled carpentry work — framing, finishing, installations, and repairs.
- Oversee site preparation, construction sequencing, and material coordination.
- Communicate clearly with project managers, clients, and subcontractors.
- Ensure that tools, materials, and equipment are available as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of project progress and any changes in scope.
- Mentor junior team members and promote company values on site.
Qualifications & Skills
- Licensed Carpenter or equivalent trade experience (minimum 5+ years).
- Proven experience leading crews or running projects independently.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
- Proficient with hand and power tools.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
