Once Upon A Child in Brantford is looking for outgoing and motivated individuals who love kids and enjoy working in a fun, team oriented environment. The right candidate will be available to work a rotation of days, evenings AND weekends, into September and beyond. Responsibilities will include ringing sales, processing returns, answering phones, assisting customers, tagging & hanging clothes, communicating the buy process to our customers, and any other tasks associated with a Sales Associate position. This is an entry level position with potential to grow. This is a permanent position, NOT SEASONAL (we do not offer temporary summer positions). The right candidate must meet the following criteria:
- Reliability, able to show up for scheduled shifts.
- Willing to learn and keep updated on current trends related to children's clothing, toys, equipment, etc.
- Ability to learn and follow procedures
- Detail oriented, highly organized
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Basic math skills
- Ability to work independently & with a team
- Ability to handle customers with sensitivity
- Ability to work at a fast pace with accuracy
- Must have flexibility with work schedules (Some weekend and evening shifts WILL be required)
- Must be able to effectively communicate our policies to our customers
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, squat, lift up to 24lbs above head.
