At Hallmark Hardware, we provide integrated and intuitive solutions to our customers. Our company specializes in fabrication, distribution and installation of doors, frames and hardware for Residential, Commercial, Institutional, Industrial and Detention construction in British Columbia.

Here are the deliverables…
Working with your manager, prepare estimates for new projects. Learn the in-house software and commit to Doors and Hardware Institute (DHI) training. Grow into project management and consulting position as your experience and industry knowledge expand.
Specifically, you must be able to provide:
· Detailed analysis of architectural drawings, floor plans, specifications to determine functionality and ultimate operation of each opening.
· Accurate doors and hardware detailing and pricing
· Clear and ongoing communication with all stakeholders
· Post-mortems to improve processes and recognize successes
· Ensure the interactions with all stakeholders lead to Hallmark Hardware being first to mind for future work
· Solving complex issues that may arise in a timely manner

· Familiarity with construction drawings & specifications
· Accurate doors and hardware detail and pricing
· Passionate about exceeding customer expectations and being the expert
· Excellent communicator both verbally and written
· Any designation through DHI is an asset
· Excellent knowledge of entire suite of Microsoft products, PDF Editor
· Has the qualities to be a leader both internally and externally
· Previous experience in construction industry is an asset
· Knowledge within the trade of doors, frames, and hardware is required
· Desire to learn and demonstrates the ability to listen and question to determine the best solution
· Self-motivated, detail oriented, ability to multi-task with advanced problem solving techniques
· Uphold high value for customer service relationships
· Working with suppliers and vendors for product information, lead-times, and shipping details
· Agrees with and champions the Hallmark Hardware brand in all situations
Goals for your growth…
· Using experience and knowledge as they relate to building codes, life safety, and accessibility
· Creating submittals & shop drawings by combining door schedules with product data
· Documenting all aspects of any given project through contracts, change orders, sales orders, purchase orders, order acknowledgements, submittals, emails and/or other forms of correspondence
· Managing a number of projects (multi-family and commercial) on a daily basis
· Direct communication with customers via phone, email, or jobsite visits
· Determining and adequately meeting project schedules & deadlines
· Staying on budget while providing material within the project scope
· Creating and implementing door hardware keying schedules
· Earn experience within company and expand your knowledge through DHI studies to become the Architectural Hardware Consultant

Experience:
- Estimating Doors and Hardware: 2 years (preferred)
- Construction estimating: 1 year (preferred)
- Blueprint reading: 1 year (required)
Licence/Certification:
- DHI or equivalent certification in doors and hardware (preferred)
