Hanway Music in Markham and Richmond Hill is now hiring part time teachers for candidates who can teach
Piano
Guitar
Drum
Flute
Vocal
Saxophone
Clarinet
*Any candidates who are able to teach two or more instruments will be considered first.
*Candidates need to be confident in being able to teach secondary instrument at a RCM grade 5 level.
We are located in the flourishing district in Markham The benefit of our school is that teachers just need to arrive in our studio and we will have our students lined up for you to teach!
No need to drive around for in home lessons! We also provide support and training for the knowledge of the RCM examination system!
Markham Location: Warden/Steeles
Richmond Hill Location: Bayview/Elgin Mills
*Hired candidates will be able to choose to work for either or BOTH locations!

Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare and deliver appropriate teaching duties
- Update parents with their child's weekly progressions
- Ensure professional conduct at all times
- Ensure punctuality and attendance with responsibility
Applicants must:
1. Have a minimum RCM level of level 8 in the instrument (for Piano and Violin position)
OR An University degree majoring in music from a North American post-secondary institute
OR RCM Certificate of at least level 8
(University or College students currently in a music degree are welcomed. Currently we are not accepting secondary school students. )
2. Have teaching experience or working with kids & adolescents aged 4 - 18
3. Residing in Toronto for at least the next 12 months
4. This job opening is only for candidates who are willing to travel to Markham and Richmond Hill on a weekly basis.
5. This job opening is not meant for a short term or summer time job position. All hired candidates will need to be able to commit to a 12 month term.

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $22.00-$32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 3 – 30 per week
