Mulrooney’s Construction Limited, a construction company in Gander for over 30 years, is looking for a Lead Carpenter to join our team.
This position is available for individuals who are enthusiastic about the trade with a strong work ethic. We're seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter to over see projects, mentor crew members, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards with minimal supervision.
A cell phone is necessary, as well as a vehicle and valid driver’s license - Our projects are in Gander and the surrounding area.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise carpentry crews on residential and/or commercial projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Coordinate daily job site activities and maintain project schedules.
- Perform framing, finishing, trim work, cabinetry installation, and other carpentry tasks.
- Ensure all work meets building codes and company quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
- Train and mentor apprentices and junior carpenters.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive job site.
- Manage materials, tools, and equipment.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of carpentry experience, with leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Journeyperson Carpenter certification is an asset.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.· Willingness to work longer hours when necessary to deliver the project on time
