Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and creative Floral Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for floral artistry, excellent customer service skills, and a strong background in horticulture and merchandising. This role involves designing beautiful floral arrangements for various occasions, assisting customers, and maintaining an organized retail environment. The Floral Designer will play a key role in creating memorable experiences for our clients while ensuring the store’s visual appeal and operational efficiency.
Duties
- Create custom floral arrangements for events, holidays, and everyday occasions, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.
- Assist customers in selecting flowers and related products, providing expert advice on floral care and design options.
- Manage retail sales transactions accurately using POS systems, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
- Maintain the floral display areas, ensuring they are attractive, well-stocked, and organized to enhance sales.
- Support landscape maintenance and gardening tasks as needed to keep the store’s outdoor spaces inviting.
- Engage in merchandising activities to promote seasonal flowers, plants, and accessories effectively.
- Utilize e-commerce platforms to process online orders and coordinate pick-up or delivery services.
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members to ensure excellent customer service experiences.
- Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and product organization.
- Uphold safety standards and cleanliness within the store environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience or training in floral design is preferred; a strong sense of creativity is essential.
- Knowledge of horticulture, landscape maintenance, gardening, and plant care techniques.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, cashiering, merchandising, and retail sales processes.
- Multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly demeanor and sales skills.
