Pinecone Pediatrics is a fast-growing pediatric medical practice located in NW Calgary. We are a consultation-only clinic providing specialized and community pediatric care for children and youth up to 18 years of age. Our collaborative team includes community pediatricians, pediatric subspecialists, and an on-site therapist.

Position Overview
We are seeking a part-time Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our growing team. This position is offered as a fixed-term role to start, with the intention of becoming permanent if it is a strong fit for both the successful candidate and the clinic. There is the option to progress to full time over the summer and likely beyond.
Start Date: as soon as June 2026
Pay: Starting at $20.00/hour, commensurate with experience and training

This role is best suited to individuals with clear career focus in medical office administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients; obtain and enter height, weight, and vitals as directed
- Manage scheduling, phone calls, and EMR-based communication (Collaborative Health Record / CHR)
- Organize and process faxes and emails within the EMR
- Maintain daily office operations (opening/closing duties, clinic flow, cleanliness, organization)
- Support the Clinic Manager with administrative and operational tasks
- Ensure compliance with clinic policies (privacy, cancellations, non-discrimination)
- Participate in team activities such as quality improvement rounds and educational sessions
- Complete annual performance review processes
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of medical office experience (required)
- Experience in Pediatrics and with neurodiverse individuals (preferred)
- Medical Office Assistant diploma (preferred)
- Experience with EMRs (CHR familiarity an asset)
- Strong communication skills and comfort with MS Office and general technology
- Bilingualism in French or another language (asset)
- Current Basic Life Support (CPR) certification (can be supported if needed)
- Vulnerable sector check required for final candidates
