As an Administrative Assistant you would engage in:
Our focus is on supporting the teams who deliver practical engineering, geoscience, and environmental solutions for our clients. If continuing your career journey with us, you would be part of our Mining Environmental Group (MEG) Group Services team, based out of our Vancouver office. The role of Administrative Assistant will provide you with the opportunity to:
Support day-to-day office operations and project needs through administrative coordination, document preparation, reporting, data compilation, travel arrangements, and meeting logistics.
Maintain the engineering project library, archives, and records tracking system, including, data indexes, and accurate, organized, and accessible project documentation.
Coordinate office supplies and services to help ensure employees have the resources they need to work effectively.
Track and maintain PPE inventory and coordinate replenishment.
Coordinate company-branded merchandise, including inventory tracking, ordering promotional items and branded apparel, and supporting conferences, events, and employee service anniversaries.
Update MEG’s intranet with employee announcements, monthly events, and other organizational communications that support employee engagement and information sharing.
Collaborate with the administrative team, office leadership, operations managers, service providers, consultants, and employees across the office.
What we require:
We respect the knowledge and experience you have gained to date and are willing to help you build on it. We do, however, require the following qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent.
2+ years’ experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role.
Above average proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as PDF software.
Exceptional attention to detail, with a keen eye for written English.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
A professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
In addition to the must have requirements you will excel in the role if you have the following:
A diploma or certificate in Office Administration, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
A collaborative approach and willingness to support administrative processes, office coverage, departmental activities, and events.
A proactive mindset, flexibility, and the ability to balance competing priorities in a busy office environment.
The salary for this position is $48,000 to $60,000 per year. Salary is based on applicable experience, education, and skill level.
